For the Ascent, we typically don't recommend soaking or stretching the leather because it is the tension that holds the cards in.
If you do need to stretch the leather, the soaking method for the Ascent is a little bit different. We never recommend stretching the leather on any of our wallets past the recommended capacity as this could cause the leather to tear or over-stretch and this would not be covered under warranty.
For soaking the Ascent:
- Soak the Ascent in lukewarm water for about ten minutes. It is important to make sure the water you use is not hot water, as this will cause undesired effects.
- Put in the number of cards that you want it stretched to, plus an extra card. Make sure to leave the cards sticking out of the top about an inch. Sometimes they can be hard to remove after the soaking and drying process. Leaving the cards out an inch gives you something to grab on to while trying to remove them if they become stuck.
- Let the wallet dry completely with the cards still inside. After the wallet is completely dry, you may remove the cards.
